A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder after police say he attacked two people at the University of Birmingham.
Police said they received a 911 call on April 26 at around 11 p.m. about a fight at the university.
Police arrested Andrew W. Brown Jr., of Birmingham, at the scene and charged him with two felonies of attempted second-degree murder.
He was booked into the Birmingham County Jail.
Officers responded to the scene where they found Brown in the street with a gunshot wound to his left thigh and a wound on his chest, according to police.
He is currently in custody and being questioned by police.
