Twitter users are furious with A-Roderick, the man who had his account suspended for tweeting out a joke about the Yankees winning the World Series.
The Yankees have won four straight, including the first four games of the series.
They are 1-0 in the series against the Mets.
A-Rod has apologized for his tweet.
The team has apologized to A-Rob and has suspended him for the rest of the season.
Twitter has been cracking down on people who use the platform to make personal attacks, but A-rod’s account was suspended for 24 hours.
Mets fans took to social media to vent their frustrations.
One user posted, “@A-Rod is not a real person.
He is a troll who thinks he is a celebrity.
If you can’t be a fan of baseball, you are a troll.”
Another user wrote, “Why do you think you got suspended for a tweet?
I can’t believe you didn’t do it to someone who actually works for you.
If someone wanted to do something, it’s your problem, not mine.”
A-rod also tweeted this on Tuesday: “I was on the phone with @JGMacDonald about this.
He told me they are in talks with me to make a deal for a #TeamNJN deal.
If it wasnt for him, they would have just signed me.
I can assure you this is not true.
I have been working hard to make this happen.
Thank you for sticking by me and for your support of my cause.”
Twitter suspended A-rob’s account because of his tweet about the World Cup.
It was suspended a day later for posting a video of himself drinking a beer in a New Jersey park.
Twitter said it would not provide more details on the suspension.
